Other substances like Seconal and Amytal Sodium are barbiturates that depress the central nervous system, with effects ranging from immediate drowsiness to motor skill impairment. Chloral Hydrate, another sedative, is especially dangerous when combined with alcohol, while Soma, a muscle relaxant, and Darvon, a narcotic painkiller, carry risks of euphoria and respiratory depression.
